Ravenwood Horses

Me on Caesar in the Kenwood 4th of July parade in 1975

At Ravenwood, horses are also part of our lives.  I was bit by the bug when we were on vacation in Palm Springs and I got to ride my first horse at the age of 2.  In 1974 the first thing my parents did when we moved north from L.A. was to buy me a pony.  A beautiful black and white Shetland with two blue eyes named Caesar.  That was it and I have never looked back!  We later bought Shane, a pinto Arab/Welsh cross, that took me to the top in poles and barrels.  We were undefeated.  We lost Shane in 2003 at the age of 35.  He was my best friend growing up and is terribly missed.

Shane at 15 years old!

Rose arrived in California on 03/16/07.  She is an awesome mare and a wonderful addition to the broodmare herd!  Rose will be bred within the next few weeks.
